“Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”

                                            William Penn

In life we must make the right decisions even if others are against it. The right thing to do is not the most cool thing to do but it will keep you out of trouble and people will trust you if they know you are a good person to help out and they know you won’t do anything bad. There should always be a brave soul to stand up for what's right. Many people ask themselves what is bad and good in this world? They try to act superior to other. We must make the right decisions and if others don’t agree on it we must learn how to make those decisions by yourself and stand alone if you have to, but you know you chose the right thing you will have no regrets.

“Don’t sacrifice what you want most for what you want now Write down what you want most and see it often.”

                                                   By: Peter Vidmar

In life we have a goal a purpose and we have to live in order to accomplish that goal that big dream that can’t be a dream for ever. We can’t slack off just because you don’t feel like doing anything at that moment, instead of playing video games, we have many opportunities to do something to help meet our goal. Go slowly but surely and once you meet it you will think to yourself that extra time you gave and that extra effort you put had all paid off and you will have no regret. You can do it now instead of doing it later. Don't give up in trying to accomplish your dream because you don’t want to waste your time or because you wnat to do something else, their is time but are you willing to put your time in your dream instead of other things. “Don’t let your dreams be dreams”.
Homecoming
Meaning of homecoming:It is a high school, college, university game, dance in which students are invited to.
History: “Baylor, Illinois and Missouri are three of the frontrunners, all having planned and held their first "coming home" celebrations around 1910. Despite the debate, these early homecoming events all had similar characteristics: a football game served as a center point; the events included rallies, parades, speeches and dances; the events intented to unite alumni and students to create a stronger sense of school pride; and they were wildly successful”.

Why?: All the activities of homecoming king and queen and the game is encouraging the students to have spirit and pride for their school.

Activities:
  • Game
  • Dance
  • King and Queen
  • Prince and Princess

It is a tradition to celebrate it in september or october and a memorable experience and because in 1910 many Universities had a celebration of coming home so they made it into a tradition and a celebration at schools.

There are many traditions, it is usually a football game then a semi-formal dance. There are many parade and spirit week. Some schools may also use it as a time to welcome back alumni for a special dinner or reunion.

It is a fun experience and something you would be glad to remember and experience.

"A good name is better that anything you can achive in life"

                                                                      By: Coach K
A good name is something presious because you want to be seen as a good person and not as a bad one that makes bad decisions. We have to choose the right because in life we might achompish our goal or win money or win a medal but if along the way you did something bad everyone will see as a cheater. You want to be a good person and not be seen as a alchoholic or drug deler. We have to make the correct desions and if you choose the wrong there will be consequences. You want to be big you have to take the correct path and make something out of yourself and you will always start at zero and build your way to the top and make you name a good one. Be the example and choose the correct path and make your name in a good way and not in a bad way because there are different ways you can make your name big and does not necessarly have to the bad way. Society will see you as one thing and you get to decide the way you want to be looked at and make it come true with your decisions. If you achomplished everything in life that you wanted too, you have to be honest and ask yourself if you decerve that title or cheated along the way.

“If your so-called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow.”
                                             By: Thomas S. Monson

Among your friends there is always someone that is doing bad things and want you to help him out but no one is brave enough to say no and stop that friend. If you are a true friend you would stop him even if everyone else laughs or does not agree with you. Sooner or later they need to grow up and stop choosing the wrong you can be the example they need. If you don't teach them to stop they will be that way all their life, with all those bad habits. If you're the only one that chose to do the right thing then you have courage to stand up to what's not right and put down the bad.

"Goal  setting is goal getting. Set and get."

                                                               By: Mark Victor Hansen
When you make you goal and you want your goal to be accomplished you must give it your all and one you choose your goal you get your goal. If you try hard enough and want it badly and dedicate yourself to do anything that will help accomplish your goal you will earn it and be a happy person because you know you did it and no one was their to hold your hand. In life you must always be willing to sacrifice something, your time and yourself to make it possible to come true. Once you set your goal you have to "Dream Big And Give Big."

Columbus Day

Christopher Columbus was an italian navigator who sailed in the service of spain. He is described as the founder of the new world America. He was born in Genoa in 1451. The explorer Christopher Columbus made four trips across the Atlantic Ocean from Spain: in 1492, 1493, 1498 and 1502. He was determined to find a direct water route west from Europe to Asia, but he never did. Instead, he accidentally stumbled upon the Americas. Though he did not really “discover” the New World–millions of people already lived there–his journeys marked the beginning of centuries of trans-Atlantic conquest and colonize (http://www.history.com/topics/exploration/christopher-columbus). Christopher Columbus was not the person to discover America because 470 years before he came along vikings had already discovered. Other than that There was Millions of people already living there Native Americans that had their homes. He was not the founder even if they describe him that way.

Reflection:

I think that Christopher Columbus was not the real founder and just ended up in America by accident and that Vikings were the finder and their were already millions of people lived there. So Christopher Columbus should not be described as the  founder of America.

Obey the law, obey your parents, and yourself.  Obedience is the key to happiness and if you obey yourself and everyone around you no one will stop you from being happy. We all have the do the right thing and keep everyone satisfied with the obedience we have shown. When you disobey no one will be able to trust you again but you have to stop yourself because if you do as you been told you will feel satisfied with yourself and happy that you did the right thing. When you obey other may learn to trust you and will be able to have everyone trust as long ans you choose the right and obey.
